TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY (TAR UMT)


Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) was established in 1969 as TAR College with the focus of providing tertiary education opportunities for young Malaysians regardless of race, class and creed who were seeking quality education as well as meeting the rising demand for human capital from businesses and industries. The College started with a single campus in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur which is now the Main Campus. Subsequently, five branches were established in Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah.

TAR UMT offers programmes at pre-university, diploma, bachelor degree and postgraduate levels that are widely recognised by the academia and industries for their depth and breadth of scope and academic rigor. Today, TAR UMT has a student population of more than 30,000 including international students from more than 30 countries enrolling in close to 200 programmes over a wide range of disciplines from foundation to accountancy, finance, business, economics, engineering, built environment, applied sciences, ICT as well as mass communication, creative arts, social science and hospitality management.


MOVEMENT, HEALTH AND EXERCISE  (MoHE)


Movement, Health and Exercise (MoHE) is a refereed, international and scientific research vehicle directed towards understanding of behavior in human performance and movement situations. The Annual MoHE International Conference which started in 2014 aims to create and provide a discussion and sharing of ideas and expertise among local and international researchers, especially from the Southeast Asian region in the aspect of Exercise Science; Sport Science and various fields which are related to health and sport technology. The aim of this conference is to enhance the quality of health through lifestyle as well as the improvement of quality of high-performance sports by using innovative scientific approaches. This conference also will discuss about the aspects of rehabilitation, exercise medicine and sport technology among community



ASIA CONFERENCE OF KINESIOLOGY (ACK)


The Asia Conference on Kinesiology, ACK (previously called as Northeast Asia Conference on Kinesiology, NACK) has been held to facilitate academic exchanges among Asian kinesiology communities since 2010.


Asian Society of Kinesiology (ASK) is an international non-profit organization which was founded during the 7th Asia Conference on Kinesiology In Incheon, Korea in 2016. The aim of ASK is to promote research through the advancement of kinesiology and development of Professional Kinesiologist Qualification System (PKQS) along with special attention to the convergence fields of kinesiology and sport medicine fields in the fourth industrial revolution.


ASK is organizing an annual meeting in conjunction with the Asia Conference on Kinesiology (ACK) which serves as a platform for exchange of information, experience and expertise among kinesiologists. Other than that, it also creates an opportunity for development of advanced education programs and a professional certification system for kinesiology.
